A date with my little man who LOVES popcorn.....

Last weekend Dylan asked me if I would, "just go on a date with him." How could I refuse such an offer. He informed me that, "he had thirty five cents and that would pay for the movie." I must say that thirty five cents does not go far at the movie, but he was determined to pay for the popcorn with it. I had the best date and daddy told Dylan to open the doors and to act like a gentleman. He was a true gentleman. The movie was great with the talkative 4 year old and I would love to go on another date if he asked me. The cutest picture = a 4 year old Dylan + a bag of popcorn + 3D glasses + his mommy(unforgettable). The movie was really cute too.

Easter bunny and noses that are runny.......

Easter weekend was a little different then we had originally planned. We were supposed to meet family in Hurricane for the annual Rowley family easter egg picnic.  This year we stayed at home because Dylan had pink eye and Tate and mommy were really sick with the cold/flu.  We did decorate easter eggs on Saturday and then on Sunday the Easter bunny left an egg hunt maze, legos, candy, and a tee ball set.  We played outside for a while, ate a nice Easter dinner, and had a teaching lesson with Dylan and Tate about the Savior and his life.  It ended up being an enjoyable, restful, and peaceful Easter Sunday.

We were sad that we missed our church services on Sunday and that we were not able to celebrate the holiday with our family in Southern Utah. However, I think everyone would agree.....they are happy we did not spread our germs and stayed in our own beds.

The Bargaining Biker.........

Dylan has discovered a new form of freedom. He is now riding a bike and he clarifies, "without training wheels."
Our family and friends may note that this bike is not Dylan's Diego bike. He is already learning the bargain theory. He is borrowing his friend Landon's bike because he can balance the bike better. Landon now has Dylan's Diego bike and sometime this summer, I am sure these boys will end the bargain and will each be riding their own bike.
In the meantime, Dylan is off and he enjoys speeding ahead and then mom and dad running after him. I guess this is the parents bargain when they teach their child how to ride a bike.

Cousin Party.....

Dylan asked me to "blog," about his cousin party on Friday night. Uncle Kelly and Aunt Liz threw a "cousin party," at their home. Dylan had a blast. He went at 5pm and Mike picked him up @ 10:15pm. Apparently, they "ate hot dogs and played video games." Mike said Dylan was telling him about how much fun he had all the way home and he looked exhausted. Mike and Dylan were originally going to meet up with Rowley family in Vegas for a big baseball game. Mike ended up working late on Friday and so we were unable to catch a flight for them. Dylan was sad because he really wanted to see his cousins Payton and Ty. Both, Mike and I were relieved when Aunt Liz called inviting Dylan to the cousin party; now that is all he talks about. Thanks Orton family for the great entertainment you provided. In June we will meet up with all the Orton/Rowley family in Bear Lake. My grandmother has reserved condos for everyone and we are all going up there to stay a week and play. I have invited all my siblings and their families to crash out at our house on the 3rd of July and then we will bring in the 4th with a parade, barbecue, and a Buzz baseball game followed by fireworks. It will be a blast! We are thankful for family traditions and we will be sure to take photos to put them on our blog(Dylan is upset that I did not take pictures at the cousin party).
