Brotherly love......

I was experimenting with my camera and I snapped these cute photos of the boys. They love tickling each other and playing cars together. I love to see them play so well together. They have a special brotherly bond.

Gratitude........

I have recently been working with a patient who has a poor prognosis and her time here on earth is short. As a nurse, I have been present when death has taken place and I have admired those who prepared to meet their God with dignity and grace. I have a strong testimony that our Heavenly Father has a plan for each of us and I am so grateful for the plan and opportunities he has provided for me. I am so grateful for a wonderful husband who brings me great joy and for these beautiful boys that I have been blessed with. I am grateful for the blessing of a being a nurse and being able to work with those whose life circumstances are not as they had planned. My testimony is strengthened as a mother as I imagine what our Father in Heaven must feel for his children who are suffering as they await to be in his presence. I am so grateful for my health and for the ability I have to be a wife and a mother. My boys are BUSY, but I would not trade the opportunity to see them experience a new discovery for anything in this world. I wanted the share how grateful I am for the testimony I have of the Savior and for his beautiful plan of families. I have seen his hand in my life and in the life of many others.

Why is the Chicken Nugget the favored food?......

I think this food belongs in the major food group in our household. The boys love any type of chicken nuggets. Thank heavens for "Dino nuggets," or I would never get Tate full. I asked Dylan for St. Patty's Day if he wanted me to cook green eggs and ham or cook an Irish meal. "Cook up an Irish meal mom," was his response. I cooked all afternoon making corn beef and cabbage. I also cooked sauerkraut and scalloped potatoes. We sat down to eat the Irish meal and you guessed it...Tate would not eat anything. What did he end up eating? Yes,the cherished chicken nugget. When Dylan saw that Tate had manipulated the system, he also requested the nuggets. Why should we even cook when you can heat up nuggets in 1 minute?

The Draper Temple.........

Our little family went to the Draper Temple open house today. The battery in the camera did not want to cooperate and so we did not get any photos, but we did have a nice day. You meet at a church near the Temple and then you are taken by bus to the Temple. Mike and I did not like this process. Especially, when one of the buses broke down and it took a while before we were able to get on a bus. The Temple is beautiful and I am pretty sure Dylan will remember the experience. He loved the paintings of Jesus and pointed out the Savior in every picture he saw. Tate loved to hear his voice echoing in the rooms and was pretty talkative and smiled at everyone there. On the way home Dylan asked to go again. Mike explained to him that you have to be older and following Jesus in order to go back with a recommend. Dylan stated, "but I have been good and Jesus just won't let me in."

Pay it Forward...........

This is awesome indeed! The first three people to comment on this post will receive a small gift from me this year. In return, you will need to "Pay it Forward," by posting this on your blog site and continuing on the act of kindness. Small acts of kindness make a huge difference.
