Mrs. Aimee's Preschool........

Tate insisted that I take photos out front on the first day of school.  I tried to convince him otherwise because the sun was so bright but it wasn't worth the battle.  I laughed when I saw him squinting and so I had to post these for memory sake.
He is so funny. He just makes me laugh!
I snapped this photo while he was waiting for the carpool yesterday. He is so excited about preschool and he has always enjoyed going.  I am glad that he likes school.  He has started to tell Mike and I that he can't wait for Kindergarten.
Tate and Joey all ready for school.

Friends and Superheroes.....

Tate and his friend Joey were invited to Caleb's Spiderman Birthday Party.  This is what they looked like when I went to pick them up.  I thought they were so adorable and they were into, "throwing a web." Caleb's talented mommy made these awesome capes and masks as party favors.

Dylan turns 8!.....

Believe it or not it happened. Our boy is 8!  For his birthday this year he chose to be baptized and we had a luncheon for family and close friends.  He also requested that we go camping with some of our friends and so we did just that. We sang "Happy Birthday" to him at the camp and he loved that his cake this year was a Dunford donut.

Here are a few facts about this 8 year old boy:

He loves to play with friends and enjoys legos, video games, and riding bikes.  He told me,"I pretty much like anything especially playing with friends. Oh and I like playing with my family too." Alrighty then.

Favorite subject in school: Math and Reading

Favorite food: Mac and Cheese. He also likes eggs and orders fruit if we are at a restaurant and he has a choice. He has always been a fan of fruits and veggies.

Favorite color: Green(with a smile on his face).

Favorite sport: Soccer and Baseball and Basketball (it was difficult for him to choose one).

Someone you admire: My dad, Grandpas, and Jesus (made me teary).

Favorite vacation: Disneyland and the beach.

Camping in the Uinta Mountains.....

We went camping in the Uintas in August with our close friend Tiffany and her adorable kids.  Dylan and Owen had both wanted to go camping for their birthday's.  We had an enjoyable time and the kids had a blast.  Tate kept telling us, "thank you for bringing us camping." Our kids love the mountains as do Mike and I.  Now we need to plan one more camping trip before the season ends.
We sang "Happy Birthday" to Owen and Dylan using a Dunford donut.  They thought that was the best thing ever.  Apparently, a donut is better than a cake.
Sweet Ericka and Tiffany.  We love them!
Sweet Tate. We love him too!
Tate LOVED the roasted marshmallows.  He ate so many I was sure he would wake up puking in the night, but he didn't.  I need to download some more photos of our hike to Provo falls from Mike's phone.  We went on a few fun hikes when we were there and went to Mirror lake. The Uintas are beautiful.

A hike to Provo Falls.....

I found a few photos of the Provo Falls hike on my phone.  The falls are incredible and we want to go back in the Fall when the colors are changing.
The boys are hoping that a fish will take a bite on their sticks.

The Falls were the perfect place for boys to play!

Dylan's Baptism.....

One of our favorite photos of Dylan.  We are so proud that he made the choice to be baptized.  Dad has been teaching him the missionary discussions for the past few months and he has been so determined to learn about the gospel.  For his birthday he wanted a set of scriptures and he has been reading them every day since he has had them.  He keeps them at the bottom of his bed and when I asked him to put them away he said, "but mom it helps me to remember them every day when I see them there when I wake up." He is really an example in our home and he is so excited to be a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.

Dylan was baptized and confirmed by his Dad on September 1st.
I love this photo because it is so real. Dylan loves to tease Tate!  Dylan had many family members, friends, and ward members at his baptism. It was a beautiful experience for him and our family.  We had a nice luncheon after at the church. He has been writing everything about the day in his baptism journal that Grandma Aleen gave him.

Dylan's Baptism Pictures

Dylan had his baptism pictures taken by Jennie Morgan.  Jennie is our neighbor and friend, and Dylan  went to daycare in her home when he was little.  She has a natural talent for photography and Dylan has a special bond with her since she cared for him since he was 4-5 months old until he was 4. We love his photos. Thanks Jenn!
