A Family Home Evening to remember.....

We decided for Family Home Evening we would talk about using nice language. Tate has been saying "shut up and stupid," a lot lately. I had gone the extra mile (my first mistake) and had spent a great deal of time getting the lesson ready. We showed the movie clip of when President Hinckley had come home from school and had said a naughty word and his mother had put soap in his mouth. We then proceeded to play a cute little game I had made where we put nice words in the mouth of a box and took out "naughty words." Mike and I both felt it was a great Family Night. That was until Tate said the closing prayer and proceeded to say all the bad words that we don't say in the prayer. He then ended the prayer. Mike's face was priceless and I sat there stunned. Tate is trying to humble us for sure. And NOTICE THE SHIRT...ughhh

Tate's wardrobe consists of......

SPIDERMAN! TOO BAD IT IS ONLY THIS SPIDERMAN SHIRT!

This is ALL the kid wants to wear and we DESPISE it! I have taken him to the store and have let him choose other shirts, but he wants this ugly thing on every day. Poor kid sits by the washer and dryer until it is laundered because Mike and I have hidden it many times. The hoody makes it worse. Mike is joking that it will be hilarious when Summer comes and we have to cut off the sleeves to make it an ugly muscle shirt or yes, a W__E B__ter shirt. You can fill in the blanks. If any of you have some suggestions for this parenting dilemma, we would appreciate advice.

Principal's Pride Award......

Dylan was awarded the Principal's Pride Award for his Valentine artwork and creativity. Mike loves this photo!
I can imagine how Dylan is going to love this photo when he is older. Perhaps, it will be on Facebook in his memories section:)
Dylan with Principal Leavitt. Hopefully, this will be the only way he meets with the Prinicpal.

This is his great quality work. This will be a keeper. He told us it is things he loves. His house, the Temple, Lulu (surprise), Mom, Dad, and Tate (notice how Tate is bigger than Mike and I). Oh, and I can't forget, "Sunny days that bring rainbows."
