One Saturday in March, Dylan was with a friend and we took Tate on a date skiing. He wanted to take a bunch of selfies while we were riding the lift. It was a fun day.
Tate scraping up the snow in the triangle. I think this was his third time skiing. Both boys learned quickly and were in parallel position by the end of the season.
Tate and his selfies. It does show his funny personality....

Dylan
Dylan is 11 and is in Fifth grade. He loves school and enjoys reading and math. This kid has a ton of personality and is always making people laugh. He loves playing with his friends, sports, legos, and video games. He is an awesome big brother to Tate and is an easy going kid. He is also very loving and caring.
Dylan-isms
"Today is my grand birthday."
"I had the best dream. I ate at McDonalds twice today." Definately a dream!
Tate was dressed in a jogging outfit and Dylan told him, "now you look like a little fat man."
Dylan told his Grandpa and Grandma Rowley, "my mom and dad don't feed me. Sometimes I will get breakfast but that's all."
Mom "I'm sorry you have the three kids. Me, daddy, and Tate."
Dylan is taking swim lessons and said, "now mom I will be like Michael Phelps." There were some people swimming laps when he said this and he looked at them and said, "see Michael is over there."
I heard a loud noise and I aked Dylan, "is Tate in the no-no room." Dylan replied, "no Tate is in the ya-ya room."
There has been a lot of road work in our neighborhood and we were driving down the street when Dylan said, " When are these fellas going to complete all of this."
Mike was playing with Tate and was being a bit loud. Dylan was in his bed and told his dad, "dad you nee to be quiet, I'm trying to rest from my labors." We laughed for a long time.
Our favorite Dylan-ism. Mom was in the very back of the church during Sacrament Meeting and Dad and Dylan were in the front of the chapel. Dylan came back to mom and said, "Mom the Holy Ghost sits up there," and pointed to the front of the Chapel.
Dylan aked me the other day, "mom are gas prices going up or down."
Mike and Shonell
We just celebrated our 17 Anniversary! It does not seem like it has been 17 years. We love going on dates and being together. Our favorite place to be is with our kids and we love being parents to our greatest blessings, our two boys.
And in the end it's not the years in your life that count. It's the life in your years.
