Mike had asked what I would like for my 40th birthday celebration and I jokingly said, "a day in Disneyland with you and the boys and not a surprise birthday party." He soon was telling about all the flight deals and started planning a trip. The boys were off track and so it worked out great and we had a wonderful time! Tate can actually ride all the big rides and so we ventured into new territory..
It rained on the last day that we were there (and the day we chose to do our family photo for our Christmas card). It wasn't raining hard and the place was empty, which meant we were able to get on the rides quickly and the ponchos kept us dry.
Another family photo in the rain. The Castle was decorated beautifully, as was the rest of the park. It was the first time we had been there at Christmas time.

A November Day on the Beach.....
The first day we arrived in California we took it easy and headed to Seal Beach. It was pretty amazing to see Christmas trees on the beach. It was also very relaxing. The kids love to play in the water and the sand. Mike and I love to sit and watch them.
He found the perfect seashell!
There was no one at the beach to take a family portrait of all of us, so we had to take divided snapshots.
