A little catch up....

I am finally catching up with the blog. Our computer was in the shop after I accidentally dropped it.  We found a great computer repair shop if you are ever in need.  It continues to be busy in our household.  We have been painting the boys room for the Star Wars bedroom and I have to say I have loved the painting project. I think I may continue painting other areas in the house when I am finished with this project.  I have learned a few great painting techniques from the nice Sherwin Williams painter.  It has made all the difference!  I just have to complete that accent wall and then we will be showing off the room.  The boys are super excited.  I am also simplifying my life a bit. I have accepted a position in the NICU which will be part time.  I will be working for CCS now every other Friday by just taking call. I was approached about the position after telling my nurse manager in postpartum that I would like to go part time.  I am getting tired of the driving and the gas prices are not kind with my CCS job. I also have loved going back to the hospital and have enjoyed the postpartum unit. I am excited for this new adventure and I love the fact it takes only 11 minutes from my house to be on the unit. I have missed the NICU at PCMC, but I don't like the thought of a commute of 2 hours a day. So this is a great opportunity.  I also started to journal more and so I'm bad keeping up with the blog.  Mike continues to love his job and we love the fact that he has been blessed to work from home.  He is currently looking at school programs to get additional training in business analyst.  He is also the Cub master in our Ward. We have had a great conference weekend. We enjoyed hearing the words from our Apostles and Leaders and we were able to spend Sunday afternoon with family at Uncle Kelly's home having dinner and watching conference. We really loved spending time with Grandma Aleen, as she is staying at Kelly's home this week.  My brother Colby and his family have moved closer and we have loved this.  The boys have been able to play with their cousins more which they love.  Dylan had a sleep over with his cousin last weekend and then told them he was homesick for his mom and dad:)  Tate has been happy because a new family moved into our neighborhood and they have a cute little boy that is Tate's age.  They have been playing together often. So here is the catch up in a brief nutshell.

The Pirate Easter Eggs.............

The boys were thrilled to decorate their Easter eggs, especially when they discovered that you could make the eggs look like pirates and animals.
Love the tongue thing. Mr. D had to first draw on paper what his egg would look like.  He is very artistic and creative. He made sure every egg was special and I let him finish the project while Mr. T and I were getting ready for bed.
Mr. D and I helped Mr.T decorate his pirate egg. Mr. T has shown it off to everyone today.

Mr. D and his pirate egg.  He did everything by himself and was very proud.

These are a few of the eggs that Mr. D designed. I thought the shark was great and he designed it different than the directions.  He really amazed me with his creativity.  Before we did this project we finally went and ate at the Noodle Company for the first time.  The boys will tell you now that it is their favorite restaurant because of the Mac and Cheese. It was a great night.

Tate's Preschool VIP....

Tate had his preschool VIP and was so excited to show off his poster.  His favorite things that he brought to his VIP included: his shark, his friend Joey, his mom and dad, and off course his Darth Maul costume.
Tate and his teacher, Mrs. Debbie.  He was not too friendly to the camera in this shot.  He was anxious to go sit by his preschool friends. He has loved Preschool at Mrs. Debbie's.
